From Garden to Table: A Cookbook

Calling all food lovers…we are coming out with a new cookbook this spring, containing recipes from the Shepherd’s Table family. We need your help filling it with great recipes!

The Purpose

The proceeds from the cookbook will help fund the food service program's garden expansion, which allows us to grow (and serve) our own produce. To set up the garden, we need raised beds, seeds, compost bins, garden tables, soil, and more.
The garden also increases the possibilities of more community engagement, with fellow gardeners, students, volunteers, and more!

From Garden to Table

In order to make this a success, we are looking for your much-loved recipes. There is no limit on the number of recipes you can submit, but we ask that the recipes not be copied directly from another cookbook or cooking website due to copyright issues. You can share a family favorite, one that has been passed down for generations, and/or one you created all by yourself! No recipe is too simple or too complex.

Please email your typed recipes (sorry, no hand-written or scanned recipes) to [email protected], with the information below, following the recipe template.

The submission deadline is Sunday, February 28, 2020.

As an added incentive, two people who submit recipes will be randomly selected to receive a free copy of the cookbook when it comes out.

Thanks in advance for your participation and for sharing your delicious recipes! We anticipate that the cookbook will be available for purchase (paper and digital copies) in May.

If you have any questions, please contact Jilna Kothary, Director of Development and Communications, [email protected]
