Gather Around The Table (flyer)

We will be sharing updates on our operations post COVID-19, and exciting news about the future of Shepherd’s Table. In addition to that, there will be live entertainment and fun demos from our special guests.

Our amazing chef Christina Moore will demonstrate how to make two delicious and easy-to-make dishes. The recipes are from our upcoming cookbook, From Garden to Table. Stay tuned for more information about pre-ordering our cookbook!

Introducing Christina Moore

Christina has been a part of our Shepherd’s Table family since 2015. Before coming to Shepherd’s Table, Christina graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, New England, in the Advanced Honors Program and earned an AA in Culinary Arts, as well as a Diplome de Art Culinaire, the French equivalent of a Culinary Certificate. After completing an externship in Massachusetts, she relocated to Virginia, where she experienced a series of unfortunate circumstances that led to a fall into, and subsequent climb out of a period of homelessness. After overcoming this difficult time, she became the Sous Chef of a busy restaurant in Virginia and eventually came to Shepherd’s Table out of a deep yearning to do something more important for the world, and a sense of wanting to “give back.”

In addition to that, you are also invited to a virtual cocktail class hosted by Carlie Steiner! Carlie Steiner is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and an internationally recognized hospitality professional who has made many prominent lists such as FORBES 30 UNDER 30, ZAGAT 30 UNDER 30, BLADE 40 under 40 QUEER WOMEN IN WASHINGTON. She was co-owner of Himitsu and now is the sole owner of Seco by Pom Pom, which specializes in curated wine packs, cocktail packs and virtual classes.

Introducing Carlie Steiner

For this class, you will be learning how to make a delicious daquiri. If you want to prepare the ingredients beforehand to follow along during the event, here is the list of ingredients:

1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice

.75 oz simple syrup

2 oz white rum

And lastly, we will have a cooking demo from chef Jonathan Bardzik! With Fall being right around the corner, he will show us how to make a delicious pumpkin pizza at home.

Introducing Jonathan Bardzik

Jonathan is a well-known cook, storyteller and author. He started with his first live cooking demonstration at Washington, DC’s historic Eastern Market in 2011. Since then, he has appeared in front of more than 750 audiences including the TedX stage and has written three books of recipes and stories. He has also worked with clients from USDA and National Geographic to The American Society of Orthopaedic Professionals. Jonathan is a regular guest on ABC, CBS and FOX morning news shows.
