Our Meals Must Go On!

Shepherd’s Table is committed to continuing serving our community and is taking extra precautions to minimize virus transmission and preserve the health and safety of our meal guests, clients, volunteers, and staff. This week, we have been requiring guests to use hand sanitizing wipes before entering the dining room, and volunteers and staff have been washing their hands frequently. The facility has implemented additional cleaning and sanitizing of all surfaces. We are also working with the County on a coordinated plan to prepare for the coming weeks.

As we have not missed a meal in 36 years, we are doing everything we can to continue meeting the needs of those we serve, who have nowhere else to turn. Starting Monday 03/16, we will continue providing meals, twice a day. The new hours for our meal service is as follows:

Brunch: 10:30 AM – 11:30 PM
Dinner: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM

We will move the meal service outside, providing “to-go” boxes, and reduce the number of volunteers needed per meal service. The new hours will be effective until further notice.

Our staff and volunteers helped prepare food bags to distribute to our meal guests.

Starting Monday 03/30, our Resource Center will be open once a day, providing mail, toiletries, bus tokens, blankets and more, as follows:

Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday: CLOSED

This time schedule will go on until further notice.

We have purchased all the necessary materials to get us through the coming week, but need your help to make sure we can continue to do so for as long as it’s needed. With over 70,000 residents in Montgomery County already at risk for hunger every day, we know the number is only going to rise, with the economic uncertainty that will surely follow. Please consider donating to Shepherd’s Table today and help us keep our services going for our community’s most vulnerable and at-risk populations. Every little bit helps!
